If you haven't had a chance to find a way to give back this Thanksgiving season, think about Care and Share! We had the opportunity to hold a November Food Drive for local families visiting Sandusky Ohio's Care and Share!
We hosted a drop off basket for non-perishable items and even were able to collect turkeys, hams and whole chickens.
To show our appreciation for our patients appreciation, for each item donated we entered patients for a chance to win a $50 Meijers gift card.
We had so many donations!
The fabulous Barb won the $50 grocery gift card and she donated the gift card back to us to purchase more food for Care and Share.
What is so great about Care and Share is they allow families to visit there once a month to help fill their kitchen with what has been donated by the state, local grocery stores, and local people in our communities. It is not income - based so if a family experiences a difficult financial time in their life and are in need of food; they can get food from there, with showing proof of local address. They are always accepting food, gently used clothing, toys, and always in need of sheets and bedding all year round!
