We're in the middle of summer, and school seems like a long way off. In the middle of vacationing and enjoying long, sunny days at the swimming pool, many of us don't think about buying school supplies.
Stuff the Bus is a program that starts in July and goes through Aug. 4. Stefano Dental is joining Stuff the Bus to help donate school supplies for local Erie County kids in need.
School supplies add up quickly. Stefano Dental is helping to collect backpacks, pencils, notebooks, binders, markers, colored pencils, glue sticks, composition books, pencil pouches, scissors, crayons, pens and more.
By ordering schools supplies now, the Stuff the Bus teams have time to get school supply kits assembled and arranged in time for school starting in August. Many schools start the 3rd week of August.
Many parents report spending an average of $100 on just school supplies.--that doesn't include new school clothing either. A good backpack can cost close to $40 or $50.
While you're planning your next trip to the dentist, don't forget to drop off some pencils or paper or glue sticks. Even the smallest donation can make difference.
