Braces or Invisalign?

Not only does Stefano Dental offer general dentistry services, but Dr. Stefano was also trained in Invisalign and braces.

Some studies suggest a great smile boosts self-esteem and can help people feel better overall.

Many patients aren't sure if Invisalign or braces is the way to go for their dental needs. Both will correct teeth rotations, both require patients to wear them for a lengthy amount of time.

For more serious dental or bite corrections, many dentists choose braces over Invisalign. Although braces can be more cumbersome and aren't invisible to the eye as its counterpart, braces.

Braces can take more effort in cleaning your teeth. You have to be able to floss with a threader and a brush and get in between the braces. The Invisalign allows you to pop the Invisalign retainer in and out making it easier to brush your teeth.

Invisalign tends to be a bit more expensive than braces, but prices can vary depending on a case-by-case basis.

Sometimes the question of Invisalign versus braces comes down to a cosmetic one. How do you feel about wearing braces over a period of time? Are you concerned about how you would look in braces? Nowadays, there are many band-color choices for braces, which many people enjoy, especially children and teenagers.

You also don't have to worry about losing braces. Many children and/or teenager have a hard time remembering where they put their Invisalign retainers once they take them out, as they must be removed in order to eat. Braces might restrict one from eating certain food, but you don't have to worry about removing them.

Braces versus Invisalign comes down a personal choice. The end result is similar though.

Brighter smiles and happy patients!
