The Power of Giving

In our last blog, we talked about supporting immigrant children in Norwalk, Ohio. We're collecting groceries and toiletries through August for them.

Why do we give, why do we always look for a group in need that we can support? Here's the thing about the power of giving. It can be infectious, contagious and inspiring.

It only takes one person to give--to show others how they can help too.

We've been spreading the news about helping the immigrant children of the Norwalk, Ohio as part of St. Paul's Catholic Church fundraiser drive. To our delight, a hair stylist from Norwalk heard about our mission on the radio, and thought she wanted to be a part of this giving chain too.

So what did she do? She's offering FREE haircuts to all the immigrant children supported by St. Paul's Catholic Church fundraiser. That's more than 40 children getting FREE haircuts.

That's what giving can do. It causes other people to give to...in big ways and little ways, but in all ways that matter.

Whether you're buying diapers or milk, paying for gas cards or giving free haircuts...you're leaving an impression on not just those receiving your gifts, but you're impressing on others the practice of giving.

Quite frankly, once you start giving, you realize it's a responsibility of being in a community. Give because you can. Give when you can. Give how you can.

Give.
